Age Verification

To support the sale of alcohol online, we have added the ability to prompt age verification within the shop experience when a customer selects a specific product to purchase.

To mark a product as “age restricted,” select the product from the product list in Admin & check the “age restricted” box.

If a product is marked as age restricted, when the customer attempts to add the product to their cart they will be prompted to enter their birthday. 

If the customer enters their age & they are not over 21, they will receive an error.

If the customer enters their age & they are over 21, they will be able to add the product (& all other age-restricted products) to their cart. 

BCC Field for Email Templates

In order to support merchants who would like to trigger verified reviews from TrustPilot, we have added a BCC field to our email communications within Admin > Marketing > Automated Communications.

Mandatory Modifiers

For merchants that have products that require a customer to pick a specific modifier, we have introduced the ability to allow merchants to designate a specific modifier category as mandatory.

To add a mandatory modifier to a product, select the product from the product list within Admin, choose the modifiers tab, & toggle on the “mandatory” setting next to the desired modifier category, 

If a product has a designated mandatory modifier, there will be an indication on the modifier & the customer will not be able to add it to their cart without selecting a modifier from the list.

Once the modifier has been selected, the customer will be able to add to cart!
