Auto Communications Events and Triggers
Auto communication events are system-generated notifications sent to customers or merchants when specific actions or conditions occur. These communications ensure transparency and timely updates. Below is a comprehensive list of auto communication events and their triggers found in Prado.
Customer Events
Customer Created
Trigger: A customer signs up for a new account.
Customer Referral
Trigger: A customer uses the "Share via Email" option to send their referral code to a friend.
Customer Referral Redeemed
Trigger: A referred friend completes their first order using the referral code.
Customer Referral Reminder
Trigger: Referral reminders are enabled in Settings > Marketing > Referral Policy > Send Referral Reminder. The email is sent based on the number of days set by the merchant and targets users who have not redeemed their referral codes.
Cart Abandoned
Trigger: Activated 24 hours after cart creation when set to “immediately” and no completed order has been placed.
Order Events
Order Cancelled
Trigger: An order is cancelled by the merchant.
Order Fulfilled
Trigger: An order is marked as fulfilled (delivered or picked up).
Order Fulfillment Updated
Trigger: Changes are made to the fulfillment details of an order, such as delivery time, date, or address.
Order Packed
Trigger: The merchant sets the status of an order to "PACKED," indicating it is ready to be picked up.
Order Paid
Trigger: Payment for an order is successfully processed. For subscriptions, it means that orders are locked and processed and the order for the subscription instance has been created.
Order Receipt
Trigger: A receipt is sent automatically once the order is completed.
Order Refunded
Trigger: A refund is issued for an order or part of an order.
Order Reminder
Trigger: Notifications for incomplete or upcoming orders are sent. This is triggered on the fulfillment date (delivery or pickup) during the morning cycle, which occurs at approximately 7:00 AM PST.
Subscription Events
Subscription Cancelled
Trigger: A customer cancels their subscription.
Subscription Contains Unavailable Item
Trigger: A subscription order includes an item that is no longer available.
Subscription Created at POS
Trigger: A subscription is created at the point of sale (POS).
Subscription Updated
Trigger: Triggered when users update their subscription details (fullfillment time, address, subscription day of week).
Subscription Updated Items
Trigger: Triggered when users update their subscription items (quantities, add, remove, etc).
Subscription Renewal - Unavailable Items
Trigger: A subscription renewal contains items that are no longer available during pre-processing.
Subscription Renewal Created
Trigger: A subscription renewal is set to pre-processing.
Subscription Renewal Creation Issue
Trigger: An issue occurs during subscription pre-processing.
Subscription Renewal Payment Issue
Trigger: A payment issue occurs during subscription processing/lock day.
Subscription Renewal Set to Skip
Trigger: A subscription instance is marked as skipped during pre-processing, either by the customer or due to system logic.
Note: All communications that would be sent on a bad timing are being deferred to the next available hour.
Example: A communication that would be sent at 12AM is deferred to 8AM.
