Setting Up Google Analytics in Prado

Google Analytics (GA) helps you track user behavior, monitor key events, and optimize your marketing strategies. This guide walks you through integrating Google Analytics with Prado and understanding the events we currently track.

How to Set Up Google Analytics

To integrate Google Analytics with Prado:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Settings > Marketing > Integrations.
  2. Enter the following required details:
    • Google Analytics Measurement ID
    • Google Tag Manager ID (To find this, log in to your Google Tag Manager account, open a container, and check the top-right corner for an ID starting with GTM-.)
  3. Option to Add a Region by entering the details below:
    • Region ID
    • Default Zip Code
  4. Click Save to apply the settings.

Entering your Measurement ID and GTM ID in the Integrations page only partially completes the setup.
To fully activate Google Tag Manager, you must also embed the required script snippets in the site’s template settings.

To do this:

  1. Complete Google Tag Manager Setup in Admin Classic
Go to Admin Classic > Marketing > Page Template > Properties > Update Properties
  2. Fill in the following fields with the GTM code snippets:
Embedded Script Contents – Head Tag
Embedded Script Contents – Opening Body Tag
You can find these snippets by logging in to your GTM account, selecting your container, and clicking Install Google Tag Manager
  3. Click the Save button

Once both steps are completed (ID entry in Integrations and script insertion in Page Template), your GTM will be fully functional.
