What is a Bundle and how do I create one?

A product bundle refers to a marketing strategy in which several products are offered together as a package deal for a discounted price. The idea behind a product bundle is to create value for the customer by offering them a combination of items at a lower cost than if they were purchased separately.

Product bundles can be used to encourage customers to buy more products than they would otherwise or to promote a particular product by offering it as part of a bundle with other items. For example, you might offer a meal deal that includes a main course, a side dish, and a dessert, or an electronics store might offer a bundle of a laptop, printer, and a carrying case.

Overall, product bundles can be an effective way for businesses to increase sales and attract customers, while also providing added convenience and value to the consumer.

To create a bundle, you will select Create Bundle within Admin > Products

Within the Bundle, you will be able to assign Bundle Products under the variant section of the product info page.

  • You will be able to track the inventory of the bundle products, however, if the bundle product runs out of stock it will not prevent the bundle from being purchased.
  • Availability of the bundle is determined at the bundle level, however, if a bundle product is no longer available it will either be swapped for a different product or removed from the bundle depending on the subscription & order settings.

You will be able to

  • indicate a set price for the bundle within the Pricing section of the product.
  • Assign tags and filters to the bundle
  • Assign associated products to show on the product description page
  • Assign a swap product for the entire bundle (for when the bundle is no longer available)
  • A bundle is a collection of products, you can’t set ingredients or nutrition information within the Bundle.
  • The customer can’t edit individual items in the bundle you can’t add products with modifiers to bundles, you will receive the error on the right.
