Organization admins can now add optional descriptive text to product tags such as “Gluten Free,” “Vegan,” or “Keto.” When configured, customers will see an info icon next to the tag name in the Menu filter panel and can view additional details about the tag.

Each organization manages its own tag Info text independently. Parent organization settings do not affect child organizations, and child organization settings do not affect parent organizations.

Where to Configure Tag Info Text

1. Log in to Admin2 as an organization admin.
2. Navigate to Settings → Products → Tags & Filters.
3. Locate the tag you want to update.
4. Click the Edit (pencil) icon.
5. Enter your desired description in the Info field.
6. Click Save Tag.

Tag Name: Gluten Free
Info Text: All items with this tag are certified gluten-free.

Customer Experience

When a tag includes Info text:

• An info icon (ⓘ) appears next to the tag name in the customer-facing Menu filter panel.
• Customers can interact with the icon to view the description:
  • Desktop: Hover over the icon to display the tooltip.
  • Mobile: Tap the icon to display the tooltip below the tag.

Tags without Info text will not display an info icon.
