How to set up Swap Products?

Have you experienced running out of ingredients for a dish? Or did the delivery of your inventory for the week got delayed? We know how frustrating it can be especially when your most loyal customers complain about not receiving the food they are expecting for the day.

We got you! When setting up a product, you can now dedicate a swap product just in case the first product becomes unavailable.

  1. You can go to Products > Products List
  2. Select the product and click on the Edit Product button
  3. Go to the Associated Products tab and scroll down at the bottom where you see Swap Products
  4. Just search for the product you wish to swap it with when it becomes unavailable.

If a customer has an unavailable product within their subscription instance, our system will:

  1. Attempt to replace the product with the specified swap product assigned to the unavailable product
  2. If the specified swap product is also unavailable, we will first try to replace the assigned swap product’s swap product (i.e. allowing a chain of swaps)
  3. If that product is also unavailable, we will then attempt to replace the product for a product within the same category
  4. If there is no other product available within the same category, the product will then be removed from the customer’s order

Note: 

  • Swapped products does not update the pricing so make sure to select a swap product with similar price.
