How do I set my menu?

With Prado, you can easily set your product availability so that your customers receive a new selection of items every week!

Prado utilizes start and end availability dates in order to understand when a product is available for customers to purchase.

You can update your menu products in admin anytime as long as the product availability start and end dates are correct.

Note: Product availability date is the date you want customers to receive the product.

For regular menu (non-rotating) or products that are always available, the start date is the first day the customer will receive the product. The end date is the last date they will receive the product. If the product has no end date, you can leave it blank.

For rotating menu or products that are only available for specific dates, or weeks:

  • Start Date: A day after your last fulfillment/day the previous or current week.
  • End Date: Last day of fulfillment/delivery for the current week.

How this will look like for rotating menus.

For example, you have a menu that starts every Monday and ends every Sunday, and your fulfillment dates are Wednesday and Sunday.

For products that are available on both Wednesday and Sunday:

  • Start Date: Monday (a day after the last fulfillment date of last week's menu)
  • End Date: Sunday (last day of the fulfillment for the current menu)

For products that are ONLY available on Wednesday:

  • Start Date: Monday (a day after the last fulfillment date of last week's menu)
  • End Date: Wednesday (last day of the fulfillment for the current menu)

For products that are ONLY available on Sunday

  • Start Date: Thursday (a day after the other fulfillment date of the current menu)
  • End Date: Sunday (last day of the fulfillment for the current menu)

You would organize your product availability days as outlined in the image below. This is based on a 4 week rotating menu:

The outlined availability dates will allow your customers to shop for their next order as soon as the lock date passes!

During the order process, the customer starts by entering their zip code, which provides them with available delivery or pickup dates specific to that location. Once they select a delivery or pickup date, the menu will automatically display ONLY the products available for purchase based on both their zip code and chosen date.
