How to create a “flexible bundle” using product + modifiers?
Creating a flexible bundle using a product and modifiers involves offering your customers the option to customize their purchase by selecting various modifiers or add-ons.
You can set a fixed price for the entire bundle or the price varies depending on the items that come with it which is based on your customers’ preference.
In this example, we will use the Basket of Joy product which comes with different kinds of chocolates that your customers can choose from and the price will depend on what they decide to put into the basket.
Note: You can set a minimum and maximum quantity that they can put into the basket or bundle.
You can start by creating a modifier before creating a product;
- Go to Settings > Products > Modifiers.
- Select Add Category and then input the details. See the sample below;
- Once the category is created, you can start adding the modifiers or products your customers can choose from. Select Add Modifier and input the details such as Name and Price along with the Max Quantity. See the sample below;
- You can continue adding every product that your customers can choose to go into the basket or bundle. See the example below;
Now that your modifiers have been created, it's time to create a product.
- See How do I add products to my menu?
- Once the product is added, you can add the modifiers. See How to add a product modifier to a product.
Here’s how it should look like based on our example, Basket of Joy.
Note: Because we are using modifiers to come up with a flexible bundle, the feature does not utilize the store inventory.
