How to create a Subscription Winback pop-up?

The Subscription Winback Modal is a feature designed to help retain customers who attempt to cancel their subscription. It displays a pop-up offer based on the cancellation reason, giving customers an incentive to stay subscribed.


How It Works

1. Set Up Promotions

  1. Go to Admin → Marketing → Promotions → Create Promotion.
  2. Create a winback promotion for each cancellation reason.
  3. Example: Use a code like WINBACK20 to offer $20 off the next order.
  4. Set up the promotion rules to align with your cancellation winback strategy.
  5. Click Save.

2. Associate Promotions with Cancellation Reasons

  1. Go to Admin → Settings → Subscription Cancellation Reasons.
  2. Either edit an existing cancellation reason or create a new one.
  3. Enter the promotional code in the Winback Dialog Code field.
  4. Adjust any additional settings as needed.
  5. Click Save.

This links each cancellation reason to a specific promotion so the modal shows the correct offer.


3. Customer Experience

  1. When a customer selects a cancellation reason associated with a winback promotion, the modal will appear showing the offer details.
  2. If the customer accepts the offer, the promotion is automatically applied to their next subscription order.
