Line Item Discounts
Line item discounts
In order to provide percent discounts on individual line items within POS, we have added the ability to comp a percentage of the item vs. the entire price.
To apply discounts to individual line items, select “comp item” on the left side of the checkout screen
When you select “comp item” you will see the comp item modal which will allow you to select which item you’d like to apply a discount too, as well as the quantity of that item.
Next to the product, select
- # to comp
- Reason for comp
- % discount
- 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%
Please note, you will not be able to apply a discount until a reason has been selected. Reasons are set up within admin classic > operations > comp reasons
Once you select save within the Comp Item modal, you will see the discount presented as a line item within the total.
The customer will also see the discount applied to their receipt.
