Name Update
To go along with our new name, we have updated the POS app name to Prado POS. When searching for the POS in the app store, be sure to search for the new name!
Tipping
Tipping Set Up
Within Admin v1 > Marketing > Tipping Policy you are able to determine whether you’d like to collect tips on the POS at checkout.
The COLLECT TIPS ON POS setting will default to no.
If you update this setting to yes, you are able to determine
- Preset tip amounts type
- Percentage
- Dollar value
- Preset tip amounts
- Can have up to 3 pre-set values
- Allow custom tip amounts
- If yes, customers will be able to enter their own dollar value tip on the transaction

Tipping on POS
Once you’ve saved your tipping policy, you will be able to collect tips at the POS in-store.*
When you select “take payment,” the tip screen will display so that you can turn the terminal to the customer so that they are able to select their tip.
Note: If already logged into the POS prior to saving, will need to log out and log back in in order to view tipping.
Customer can select from pre-set options
Or can enter a custom dollar amount
Tipping Set Up
After the customer has selected their tip and chosen “submit & continue,” they will receive a notification to turn the terminal back toward you to complete the transaction.
When the terminal is returned to face you, select “continue” and the customer is then able to provide desired payment
- Card
- Cash
- Other accepted tenders
The receipt (whether emailed, text, or printed) will display the tip as a line item.
