How Do I Check Out Customers Using POS?
After logging in to the POS will see the "In-Store Orders" at the bottom.
From here you can see the following tabs In-Store Dining and To-Go , both of these you can set separate tax rates in admin.
From here you can look up the customer by touching "Customer Rewards" or later during check out you will be able to search/add the customer to the order so they can get loyalty points.
Adding Products to a Order
- After searching the customer select either option In-store or To-Go.
- You will see the categories offered for In-store available on the left
- when you select a category you will see all the products in that category.
- You can tap the + button next to the product add this to the cart.(or "-", to remove the quantity)
- You can also select a Employee responsible for the transaction.
- Once done you can move to check out.
Loyalty Points, Promo Codes, and Applying Payment
Loyalty Points -
In the top right under the customer name, if the customer has loyalty points you can select the amount of points to apply to the order total. This will show a dropdown with various options of amount to apply.
Apply Gift Cards -
On the left side you will see the a section called eGift Card, if you tap this then you will be prompted to add the eGift Card #.
Once added hit save any continue, this method will use all the funds from the eGift card to apply to the order, any remainder can be paid via a different payment method.
Promo Codes -
When you tap on the Promo Code, you will be prompted to to search for the promotion code just hit apply to add the promo code to the order.
Similarly to ordering online, only one promo code can be applied to an order at once.
You will see the promo code and amount discounted buy looking at the bottom right where the total for the order is.
Applying Payment -
After making any edits needed prior to collecting payment. Tap the " Take Payment " button, this will prompt the following:
