Purchase/Apply Pre-Paid Credit in POS

Pre-paid credits can be purchased and redeemed directly through POS. This allows customers to add funds to their account and use those funds toward future purchases.

Purchasing Pre-Paid Credit in POS

  1. Navigate to Customers.
  2. Search for the customer using any of the following:
    1. Name
    2. Email Address
    3. Phone Number
  3. Select the customer profile from the search results.
  4. Under the Prepaid Credit section, tap Add Credit.
  5. Select the desired credit tier.
  6. Add a responsible employee, if required.
  7. Tap Continue to Payment.
  8. Select the applicable payment method.
  9. Complete the transaction and print a receipt if needed.

Applying Pre-Paid Credit in POS

There are two ways to apply pre-paid credits during checkout.

Option 1: Checkout from the Customer Profile

This method is ideal when a customer walks into the store, adds funds to their account, and then immediately uses those credits to place an order.

  1. Navigate to Customers.
  2. Search for the customer using:
  3. Name
  4. Email Address
  5. Phone Number
  6. Select the customer profile.
  7. Tap Checkout with Customer.
  8. Add items to the order.
  9. Tap Complete Checkout.
  10. Tap Credit Available (this option is only displayed when the customer has available pre-paid credits).
  11. Review the credit being applied and tap Proceed to Payment.

Option 2: Apply Credit During a New In-Store Order

This method is best when a customer is ready to place an order and already has pre-paid credits available on their account.

  1. Navigate to Orders.
  2. Tap New In-Store Order.
  3. Add items to the cart.
  4. Tap Tap to Assign Customer.
  5. Search for the customer using:
  6. Name
  7. Email Address
  8. Phone Number
  9. Select the customer profile from the search results.
  10. Tap Select to assign the customer to the order.
  11. Tap Complete Checkout.
  12. If pre-paid credit is available, it will be applied to the order.
  13. Tap Proceed to Payment.

If the Credit Balance Is Insufficient

If the available credit does not cover the entire order amount:

  • The available credit will be applied automatically.
  • The remaining balance can be paid using another payment method, such as a credit card.
  • Once payment is completed, the order will be finalized.

If the available credit covers the full order amount, the order will be completed without requiring an additional payment method.

 

 

Viewing Pre-Paid Credit History

Administrators can view a customer's complete pre-paid credit history from the customer profile in Admin.

The history includes:

  • Credits added to the account
  • Credits redeemed on orders
  • Credits returned through refunds
  • Manual credit adjustments

This provides a complete record of all pre-paid credit activity for the customer.
