How do I troubleshoot my receipt printer?

Proper printer setup

  • Is there paper in the printer? 
  • Are the printer cables plugged into power source? Are they secure within the printer? 
  • Is the printer on? 

Bluetooth connection

Is the printer connected to Bluetooth? 

  • Go to iPad Settings > Bluetooth > OTHER DEVICES > select & connect to printer 
  • Device name is MCP31LB -BT:mC-Print3 or similar
  • The device should say Connected within Bluetooth settings

If the printer was already connected to Bluetooth, disconnect and reconnect to Bluetooth to re-establish the connection. 

  • In iPad Settings > Bluetooth > if printer says Connected, Select the info icon on the printer > Select disconnect - Printer should now say Not Connected
  • After a few seconds, select the Printer - this should reestablish the connection to Bluetooth. The printer should say Connected.

POS App Connection

Is the printer connected to the CulinaryFlo POS app? 

  • Go to the side hamburger menu > Settings
  • Tap Printers then the Find Printers button
  • You should see the printer listed (MCP31LB -BT:mC-Print3 or similar)
  • Tap this item

Can you print a sample receipt?

  • Tap the Print Sample button to print a sample. The printer should print out a small sample receipt.
